Healing from Trauma, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, + Unresolved Childhood Attachment

Welcome! I’m Shayda

EMDR therapy for trauma healing in San Diego and California

I’m so glad you’re here! I know how vulnerable it can feel to open up, especially when you've been carrying the weight of trauma, anxiety, or pain. That’s why creating a safe, supportive space is my priority. I take a holistic, trauma-informed approach that integrates the brain, mind, and body—because healing isn’t just about talking.

While sharing your story with someone who truly listens is powerful and important, deep healing also involves reconnecting with your body. Our nervous system is always giving us valuable information, and our bodies hold incredible wisdom that has helped us survive painful experiences. By tuning into this inner intelligence and listening to our body’s story, we can heal, grow, and transform in meaningful ways.

With 10 years experience, I specialize in working with adults, particularly women and survivors of sexual assault, abusive relationships, and childhood trauma. As a feminist and culturally sensitive therapist, I understand how societal pressures, culture, identity, family expectations, and systems of oppression impact and shape our experiences—often in ways that are deeply rooted in historical and intergenerational trauma. Whether you’re struggling with PTSD, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, or relationship challenges, you deserve a space where you feel truly seen, valued, and understood.

Healing isn’t about “fixing” yourself, because you are not broken—it’s about reclaiming your power and reconnecting with your most authentic self. I believe that all human beings hold an innate capacity for wholeness, growth, and resilience. With trust and safety as our foundation, we’ll move at your pace, guiding you toward the life you envision and deserve.

Together, we’ll nurture your connection to your intuition and gut instincts, so you’re no longer stuck in old patterns shaped by conditioning, painful experiences, or external forces. This process is about becoming liberated—gently awakening from the illusions that have kept you disconnected—and moving toward greater clarity, freedom, and self-trust.

“I wish I could show you, when you are lonely or in darkness, the astonishing light of your own being.”

—Hafez, 14th century Persian Poet
